Hi, and welcome to TheHangout! TheHangout is a place for meeting new people, sharing photos and life updates, and having meaningful exchanges with good friends and soon-to-be-good-friends. It’s our goal to provide you with the safest environment possible for you to enjoy this experience and for that reason, we ask you carefully read these Terms of Service and follow the rules and guidelines contained within while accessing the site.


  • Members provide most of the content you see posted on TheHangout. TheHangout is not ultimately responsible for any content provided by our members.
  • We do not systematically monitor the content of the site, but if we do see something that is inappropriate, then we are able, at our discretion, to remove it.
  • Not abiding by the following Terms and Conditions may result in termination or suspension of an account without warning.

1. Consent

The following Terms and Conditions govern all use of thehangout.com ("Website" or "TheHangout") and all the content, services, and products available at or through the Website. The Website is owned and operated by myZamana, Inc. ("the Company"), a US corporation registered in the state of Delaware. The mailing address of the corporation is: 417 N. Tatnall St., #40705, Wilmington, DE 19801. The Website is offered subject to your acceptance without modification of all of the Terms and Conditions contained herein and all other operating rules, policies (including TheHangout’s Privacy Policy and TheHangout’s Community Guidelines, without limitation), and procedures that may be published from time to time on this Site by the Company (collectively, the “Agreement”).

Please read this Agreement carefully before accessing or using the Website. By accessing or using any part of the Website, you agree to being bound by the Terms and Conditions of this agreement. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN THIS AGREEMENT, THEN YOU MAY NOT ACCESS THE WEBSITE OR USE ANY OF ITS SERVICES.

2. Use and Access

TheHangout is intended to be used by adults. You may only use or register for TheHangout if you are 18 years of age or older. If the country within which you reside has applicable legislation that stipulates you must be even older in order to use the Website, then you must abide by the minimum age provided by this legislation.

You must provide accurate information to the Website in a manner that is not misleading. You may not use the Website if you have been convicted of, or are subject to any court order relating to assault, violence, sexual misconduct or harassment.

3. Membership

You may become a TheHangout member by creating a profile on the Website. You may not create more than one profile. Memberships are non-transferable, and you are responsible for keeping your login and account access information secure.

You may enroll in TheHangout’s premium services by paying a membership fee. All members have free access to the Website’s basic features.

4. Rules Relating to Content

You are able to post different types of content on TheHangout, including photos, messages, and profile information. You are responsible for all information you post and must follow these rules when posting content to the Website:

  • You may not post content that is abusive, offensive, harassing, or upsetting.
  • You may not post content that contains threats or incites violence towards any individuals or entities. Pictures of weapons are not allowed.
  • You may not post content that is pornographic or exploitative.
  • You may not post content that violates the privacy, intellectual property, or publicity rights of any third party.
  • You may not impersonate any other person or post content that infringes on other people’s intellectual property, privacy, or portrait rights.
  • You may not post content that is spam, or content that is randomly or machine-generated.
  • You may not sell commercial goods or services on the site. TheHangout members are prohibited from soliciting business on the site.
  • You may not post content that contains or installs any viruses, worms, malware, Trojan horses, or other harmful or destructive content.
  • You may not post any personal contact information (e-mail address, phone number, address, etc.) on your profile page, whether in relation to you or any other person.
  • You may not post any content that is false, misleading, or misrepresentative.
  • If you do choose to reveal private contact information to another user (via e-mail, chat, etc.), you do so at your own risk. Please use caution when disclosing personal information about yourself to third parties, as you would in any other public scenario.

    Content posted to your profile page is visible by the general public. If you do not want such content to be viewed by others, you should not post it to TheHangout. We reserve the right to edit, remove, or block any content you upload to TheHangout, without warning or notice, without incurring any liability from you. We do not have any obligation to display the information you post to TheHangout. The company is also not responsible for checking the truthfulness or accuracy of any content submitted to TheHangout.

    5. Abuse / Complaints

    You can report abuse or complaints here.

    6. Termination

    TheHangout may terminate your access to all or any part of the Website at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, effective immediately.

    If you wish to terminate this Agreement or your Website account, you may do so from your settings page. (Once logged in, click on the "Settings" link)

    Termination (either by you or us) will not entitle you to any reimbursement.

    7. Intellectual Property

    You warrant that the information posted in your profile is posted by you and that you are the sole author of your profile. When you enter data that is viewable by other members, you grant to us an unlimited and perpetual license to disseminate, use, process, translate, or modify this data.

    You may only use other TheHangout users’ personal information to the extent that it falls within TheHangout’s purpose of allowing people to get to know one another. You may not use other users’ personal information for commercial purposes, and you may not use other users’ personal information to intimidate, threaten, or harass anyone. TheHangout reserves the right to terminate your account if you misuse or mishandle other users’ information in any capacity.

    This Agreement does not transfer from TheHangout to you any TheHangout or third party intellectual property, and all rights to, interests in, and titles to such property will remain (as between the parties) solely with TheHangout. TheHangout, TheHangout.com, the TheHangout.com logo, and all other related trademarks, service marks, graphics, and logos used in connection with the Website are trademarks or registered trademarks of myZamana, Inc. or TheHangout’s licensors. Any other trademarks, service marks, graphics, and logos used in connection with the Website may be the trademarks of other third parties. Your use of the Website grants you no right or license to reproduce or otherwise use any TheHangout or third-party trademarks.

    8. Disclaimer of Warranties

    The Website is provided on an "as is" basis. TheHangout and its suppliers and licensors hereby disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Neither TheHangout, nor its suppliers and licensors, makes any warranty that the Website will be error-free or that access thereto will be continuous or uninterrupted. You understand that you obtain content or services from the Website at your own discretion and risk.

    9. Limitation of Liability

    In no event will TheHangout, or its suppliers or licensors, be liable with respect to any subject matter of this agreement under any contract, negligence, strict liability, or other legal or equitable theory for: (i) any special, incidental, or consequential damages; (ii) the cost of procurement for substitute products or services; (iii) for interruption of use or loss or corruption of data; or (iv) for any amounts that exceed the fees paid by you to TheHangout under this agreement during the 12-month period prior to the cause of action. TheHangout shall have no liability for any failure or delay due to matters beyond their reasonable control. The foregoing shall not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

    10. General Representation and Warranty

    You warrant that (i) your use of the Website will be in strict accordance with the TheHangout Privacy Policy, with this Agreement and with all applicable laws and regulations (including, without limitation, any local laws or regulations in your country, state, city, or other governmental area, regarding online conduct and acceptable content, and including all applicable laws regarding the transmission of technical data exported from the United States or the country in which you reside) and (ii) your use of the Website will not infringe on or misappropriate the intellectual property rights of any third party.

    11. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TheHangout, its contractors, and its licensors, and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any and all claims and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, arising out of your use of the Website, including, but not limited to your violation of this Agreement.

    12. Miscellaneous

    This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between TheHangout and you concerning the subject matter hereof, and it may only be modified by a written amendment signed by an authorized executive of TheHangout, or by the posting by TheHangout of a revised version. Except to the extent applicable law, if any, provides otherwise, this Agreement, any access to or use of the Website will be governed by the laws of the state of Delaware, U.S.A., excluding its conflict of law provisions, and the proper venue for any disputes arising out of or relating to any of the same will be the state and federal courts located in Delaware, U.S.A.

    13. Changes to These Terms

    TheHangout reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace any part of this Agreement. It is your responsibility to check this Agreement periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the Website following the posting of any changes to this Agreement constitutes acceptance of those changes. TheHangout may also, in the future, offer new services and/or features through the Website (including the release of new tools and resources). Such new features and/or services shall be subject to the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement.
